Feasible mods per model

I am wondering if any one of the knowledgable members can create a post identifying the various parts needed to improve a particular watch.

For example,

Cartel fiddy - requires davidsen dial, davidsen hands, big crown crystal...etc

Good thread - it'll be good to see a compiled list of wishlist mods for the models - maybe not every model, but the usual, popular ones, like say, the V1 Hublots, etc.

Yes. But not so much wishlist mods but rather available mod options. For example, CG options - toro CG, goin CG, etc so that the noobs like me can figure out what to do next

i'd think it's a little hard to come up with such a list as certain models require more mods then others.. but most imptly, modding is smth truely subjective..one person's mods on a particular watch may not be needed on another's..it kinda boils down to what flaws u can or cannot live with..

just my 2 cents..

and maybe an idea of price range. I can tell you how to build a better rep than buying a one and modding it...unless its a new 177. Those are hard to beat LOL

It would be such a huge formidable task, as each watch model could be a forum unto itself, since each every model has it's own idiosyncrasies. There would be so many areas to cover, including part #'s, sourcing options (Ofrei/CousinsUK, Concepta, other dealers, etc...), tutorials, etc.... It would turn into a huge game of 'hijack the thread'. Just my 2 cents.

I belong to a camera forum and there is a sub-section where people can post pictures and info about a certain lens

and then all posts have to be about that LENS only

so there is a 50mm f/1.8 category for ONLY that lens
but then there is a tread for the 50mm f/1.4 - (a similar but better lens)
similar to a 111h and 111j seperate threads...

Someone starts a 111h thread and then pictures, info, discussion on different offerings and mods available for JUST THE 111H

then someone starts one on a 111J

someone starts one on some obscure rep like 3 people have and NO ONE posts there... fine...

The search feature is great but there is the HUNTING for info even if you find a good 111h thread lets say... and then you find a post and someone gets off on being vague - but sometimes I'd like it even easier in a tread SPECIFICALLY designed for pictures of a particular model and info dumping from its owners, skilled modders etc.

Then ALL 111h are in there

There can't be more than 30-40 REAL popular reps per main mfgr...

It's just people would have to not be tempted to start a thread for their 1off rolex dial in a Cartier case with panerai hands and dlc coated...

I will be getting the latest 318 and probably a 177 at some point. Would love to know what more can one do to improve these ultimates...

For the 177? Flatten and polish the canon pin, maybe swap out the crystal for one from BigCrown. That's about it.
