Sorry to post this here but I'm a new user and the forum won't allow me to create a new thread in the PureTime forum.

I placed an order with them ahead of Chinese New Year and they're finally ready to process my order. They have been very good communicating with me and very courteous as well, but I'm having an issue.

I ordered a 111 N (noob v3), paid, and they sent me pics from Quality Control so I could OK the order before they shipped. The first one they sent me pics of looked great, but it had an awful point right at the center of the cannon pin:

I mentioned the problem so they sent me pictures of a second one that's even worse —*it looks like the point on the cannon pin was ground off and then polish on the dome was destroyed in the process:

I told them about the problem again and they said that all models they have look like this. I see pictures of the noob v3 all over RWI and other sites, and I've never seen this horrible cannon pin on any of them.

What should I do? They suggested I pick another model, but I ordered this one because I want the sandwich dial and the 111 N noob v3 is the closest to gen that I've seen.

Is there a skilled (and trusted) watchmaker on this forum who can source a proper cannon pin and swap it out for me for a fee if I have no choice but to but one of these (I'm searching now to find one)?

PureTime has a great reputation on this forum so it seems like you guys have dealt with them a lot. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

You dont need to have the cannon pin swapped out. All you need to get done is get this flattened and polished which will make it look very very close to gen.

They told you how it is, all of the rep 111 have the same CP issue. Some of the latest 127 are coming with pretty decent CPs but for the most part they all have the CP issue. Contact Vac for a CP mod he can help you.

Thing about Reps is consistent quality... if its not one little thing, its another, I've ordered several 111N's from them, one had a loose swan neck, another the crystal was not firmly placed. easy fixes to both... your pin is no different... also, keep in mind that resolution/zoom you see is unnatural to to the naked human eye. Which may not be noticeable once you get it.

Sorry for the ignorance, I'm really new here and still searching around for things. Can't find a user named Vac - is that a nickname?

You're being crazy. Crazy picky (and a little crazy for titling your thread like that.) I

I see two beautiful watches, and if the finish on that tiny pin, at 1000x macro bothers you.. Refer to my 1st sentence. :D:

Here is his email: [email protected]

New members should read the stickys and ALE's threads before they buy their first rep. If you do that you will know what to expect and not give the TD a hard time as they are very busy and don't have the time to go back and fourth.
