A brief review of the recent experience buying an APSF MUT from Andiot.
The transaction was a couple of months ago and I had been meaning to write this as it shows some additional simple support that may have been lacking from another TD.
Timeline as follows;
29th Feb - order placed
2nd Mar - qc recieved and further photos requested
4th Mar - more photos arrived showing lack of detail on moonphase, QC rejected with agreement from Elliot
8th Mar - new watch QC recieved
9th Mar - qc accepted and request to ship
14th Mar - order shipped
20th Mar - order recieved
21st Mar - quality query because the crown does not lock in place. Videos sent to Elliot and he offers to have his watchmaker in UK check it
26th Mar - sent off to watchmaker - at my cost, I didn't question who pays for this shipping, just paid it myself
27th Mar - watchmaker verifies not a problem, the crown has this characteristic on all APSF MUT and even on the gen, agree on return to me
28th Mar - watchmaker returns to me via RMSD with Elliot covering cost, I am not asked to contribute to this
Throughout the transaction there was no problem with slow communication, attitude or acceptance/denial of any problem. No qualms with my QC rejection and no doubt having a UK watchmaker on hand helped, Elliot didn't need to cover off the return shipping to me given there was no fault found.
In summary a good buying experience and one that a less active and alert dealer might have struggled with.
