Tak- Tough to be called a faker by a bunch of posers-
If you fish through the forum there you DO find a handful of reps-
My Davidsen Fiddy fooled a friend who owns two Panerais'- He knows that I also have a couple of gens and a bunch of reps-
He held the Fiddy in his hands and pronounced- "You know- I know you like those fake Pannys- but there's nothing like the real thing!!"
Of course when I told him the truth he immediately wanted one.
Just for fun I told him "It's Swiss made- there's a one year wait- and they're $2500 each"
He still wanted in!!
(Gotta keep a few secrets..)
Still better than the 2533 on ebay for $6,000...

I mean I totaly get the collectability aspect of the gens- I bought two myself just because they were priced right, and I figure they'd hold their value- But frankly I think the Davidsen Fiddy as as well made as my 001- feels right, looks right, wears right- The Planet Ocean also- feels and looks so spot on that you never feel like you're wearing anything less than a substantial watch.
The Tag Link Chrono looks right- but it feels like a rep- the bands a little too sharp, the crown is too lightweight in your hands when you set the time or the date, just doesn't feel really perfect.
But I think only us rep collectors are really good at spotting the fakes.

I think its a gen, the recess pin look might be from a dark spot on the reflection.....but I may be wrong.

Gen- No I think not-
Pin is DEFINITELY recessed on that one- Does not have the customary gen AR look to it-
Crown guard does not look right either- Though the locking lever does look right...

The pin is definitely recessed. Anyway, the lume colour does not look right too. I am 80% sure it's a rep. The 20 percent goes for modded rep.
I sold a cheap strap to the guy with the 217 (I think it was a $25 Bob). The guy complained that it was too long for him. You would think a gen PAM owner wouldn't have said boo about a $25 strap.
