Dear all, after much discussion with RWI mod, it is with good faith that this story should be shared with your knowledge to make more informed decision.
I am not asking for any money back nor to tarnish Andiot reputation. Those who believe in his value can continue to support him.

My conclusion is his understanding of English is poor, resulting in very bad communication.
After sales service and attitude is terrible, it is always not his fault.
So whenever you decided to go with him, please be prepared that the watch will be without problem.

1. The pre sales communication was perfect like all have reviewed. Everything was smooth and perfect till the payment.
2. Once payment received, he immediately send over the QA/QC photos the next day. My first impression was "wah, that's fast!". Now on hindsight, it was probably a bad watch/reject which is why he readily have it with him.
3. There are certain photos that is not clear which i demanded for a better clearer photos. But his comments that is the best he can provide. and asking in a sarcastic way that If i know how to do it better, i can advise him. It was like a totally different person from the one handling the pre sales. I didnt want to make things difficult. therefore I let it slide and give the green light to proceed with the delivery.
4. The real nightmare starts as per conversation in the screenshot attached.
a.I received the watch probably about 2weeks later. I wouldnt compare about the timing.
b.The winding of the watch dont seems to work. The second hand started moving only after I started "Shaking" the watch to simulate movement to kickstart the rotor.
c. Left the watch at home awaiting for a good chance to wear it outdoor. The moment i stepped into my car, the difference in temperatute immediately cause the glass to fog out. upon close examination, it is condensation of moisture from within.
d. I reached out to Andiot stating the problem to which he provided idiotic response stating it will happen because i didnt opt for the $60 waterproofing test. I tried to explain that the watch have not even touch any water or go diving. this is not acceptable. He proposed a few methods that may solved the issue. I have no choice but to try out drying the moisture with the watch embedded in the rice.
e. Long story short, obviously the trick didnt work. So i wrote back to Andiot to explain the situation and his response is totally unacceptable. I will let u read his response to judge for yourself.

My conclusion : Andiot is a fair weather TD. perfect dealer to buy from if you do not expect any after sales service. If you encounter any issue after handling over your money, good luck to you. He will state anything and everything to point the finger at the customers and that it is our fault and never his.

Do you think it is acceptable to state that a rep watch is not even able to be worn in a country with high humidity because water will go in through the air? a rep watch cannot be worn in a air con room like what Andiot stated?

My apology for the ranting but this is disappointment. I have been around for so long, buying some many Reps from Hont, to MR to chasing time, to Li, all of them have such proper after sales services.

Very unfortunate to hear this. I ordered a watch with Andiot last week. A V7F IWC Mark XX. Earaly similair to your watch in regards of TD, factory, brand and movement inside. Your story makes me very anxious about my QC > Delivery & possible after sales needs.

I had to wait 8 days until my QC. Just got the pictures this morning. The watch looks very good in QC pics, mine seems to hack too in QC.
Really doubting now to ask Andiot to do the waterproofing with warranty straight away. And maybe add a service while he is at it.

€60 does seem a bit much for this basic service and expectation. Might be better to do it with a local watchmaker as soon as you receive the watch...

P.S. I've gottin here after reading your other post Moisture in glass. Maybe the watch is still fixable? Goodluck!

Hi Fred,
Like the discussion with the moderators, it is a case of bad luck. Getting a lemon from the factory. There is a likelihood that the moisture is already in there during assembly. While in Singapore with great temperature difference, the glass fog up.
I am sure you will have better luck :)

I am more upset with the level of service from Andiot.
The $60 may or may not buy you the peace you want because even if you done up the pressure test and similar water moisture in the glass, I am pretty sure Andiot will point the finger and fault at you either way.

My advice is to get it done locally if possible. That is the best way for assurance.

As for my watch, I have shell it aside since day 2. A way of reminding myself not to go for TD on probation and go for the usual proven ones.

Here's a little bit of common sense for those of you who lack it. Why don't you have the watch tested when it shows up ?
What do you actually mean?
Send very rep you purchase to a watch smith to test it for water pressure test?
Then what? Andiot will still ask u to go screw yourself if the test is negative.
