Is there any way of identifying which Factory a Breitling comes from, without taking the back off? Only just ordered some tools to take watches apart, not that I know what I’m looking for, yet!

To my knowledge not. The only thing you can do is to compare the specific model you have in front of you with what people has reported as shortcomings from the various factories. But I am a sure that a hi-res picture will trigger some answers from the most experts members here.

The TD lists what factory the watch is made but otherwise just ask them

For Breitling specifically, no. The best you can do is to look at subtle nuances such as caseback engravings, watch, dial, printing of stuff, and even then, that isn't 100% a tell because rep suppliers/factories switch stuff all the time
