One problem remains: I need the camo strap, but the original one is so expensive and difficult to find. :(

Thanks for the tip. I'm looking for this strap and the most I would pay is around 80-100$, if genuine and unused of course: http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-14LVufjfP...00/17.TUDOR-Fabric-Straps_Heritage-Ranger.jpg

Hi, it´s not exactly close but it´s Camo and the quality is very good, if You scroll down to the end of the page, very reliable site and fast shipper: http://www.miros-time.de/nato-bänder/nato-xt/, I´d also recommend the NATO supremes and the black leather Rallyestrap with the holes if You´re getting one.

I have already seen similar ones, but no one near to the genuine in matters of look and pattern.

I was able to source both the THCB strap and the Ranger camo. It was a long process, to say the least. The strap, the buckle and the second floating keeper are all sold as separate parts. When you go to buy the strap, an AD will assume you already have the buckle and floating keeper and you just need a strap replacement (because you should already have the gen watch). And yeah they're more expensive than the rep watches themselves, of course, but you get what you pay for. There really is no equal - the jacquard weaving on ancient looms is so much better than a regular NATO I don't even consider them in the same class. I've tried every variation of NATO strap for these and there just isn't anything like the gen fabric. I thought about getting one for a Black Bay but they're kinda plain - these two are the best IMO.

I've never seen a rep with the same type of buckle and construction. They're really fantastic in that they're one piece cotton fabric straps with a sewn in buckle and springbars as opposed to NATO or Zulu type.

Plus I imagine even if there was a rep the quality just wouldn't be there. (The gen is made by the same factory that makes the Vatican robes... Pretty hard to match). The BB ones pop up fairly frequently on eBay and watch forums since every gen owner gets one new in packaging. That's how I got mine.

No rep straps available that are anywhere near the same quality. The gen straps are worth every cent!
