Experts, Deep crystal?

Firstly let me clarify, I am not casting doubt on anyone's honesty, and I am very happy with the watch for what I paid.

I bought a GMT Master 2, with a Deep xtyal.

This crystal is very clear, better in my memory than my old v1 Clean pepsi.

And at least as good if not better than my VSF Subs.

But I will bet money is has no AR coating on the cyclops, it's the correct height and it has no Rolex "engraved" at 6pm.

Is it possibly Deep or something else?

Again, not casting any doubt on the original seller.

Tbh IMO , deep is a hit or a miss I’ve ordered a few for gmt and dj from the same seller in different batches, some of them have great ar others feel just there is no ar on cyclop , maybe sub standard QC at the factory

£300 ($379 or €354) for a Dangdong 3285 Batgirl with a Deep crystal and a Xing bezel? It's hard to complain, I do love the look of the watch. If I could have one gen and nothing else to wear ever again a Batgirl might be it.
And yes, the polished bit of the bracelet is scratched to hell already!

Deep xtals are good (regarding clarity - not so much regarding the quality of the AR layer, scratches quite quick), but only for non-cyclops Rolexes, I use them for some of my Daytonas and it looks very nice.

The cyclops on the deep xtals never looks really really good. So in these cases I’d stick with the original CF/VSF xtals since the cyclops is way better. At least for the current releases, i.e. CF GMT.

In doubt, go Gen for cyclops xtals.

Imo the deeps crystals are very good for non-cyclops models, i.e. daytona, no-date subs, explorer 36, etc. They provide very good clarity and the only stock piece that comes in close is the BTF stock crystals. Clean's crystals are borderline milky. I've also noticed on the latest batch that the bevel on the crystal edge is smooth and not sharp like the older batches, which seems to be accurate to gen.

As for cyclops models- I still see a difference when comparing with Clean's stock crystals. The cyclops looks a bit clearer and better. But compared to the VSF Stock crystals, I don't see a point swapping to deep. The VSFs are on par, if not better than the Deeps in my opinion.

Deeps all have the laser engraved crown at 6.

100% agree. I've just paid £317 for my 3285 Batgirl without the Deep Crystal or Xing Bezel, so you've done very well. likewise on the bracelet, I feel like the wind could scratch it.
