Hi everyone,

A very new newbie here :] I found RWI after actually ordering a PAM338 with Toro888.com (toro bravos).

2 questions that perhaps you can shed some light on.
------------------------------------------------------------
1. Are the PAM338 only available with a brushed Stainless Steel body, or is the body actually Titanium, but the wording in the back is just "stainless steel"

2. I asked them about this after they sent me the QC pic, but went silent for a day or so. Just wanted to know a bit about how they work. Should buyer just be patient until they get around to answer ( 1-3 days typical? ). I'm not in a hurry, but don't want to be sending repeated emails, if it cause more harm than good. Just want to know what to expect, and how to interact accordingly.

Appreciate all the threads fill with interesting facts on RWI
Thanks for your help in advance!

For the rep, the case is brushed stainless steel not titanium.
Don't worry too much, I've got one and it never bothered me.

Once you approved the QC, they usually ship out quite fast. Might be worth waiting for a couple more days before asking again.

Awesome, thanks wqleow.

The PAM 338 being brushed stainless steel is what I only see through all my online research. What threw me off is when I contacted Toro, and he told me Titanium. (his pictures on the site even says stainless steel). So I guess is made a minor mistake in the reply.

Just needed to make sure.

I'll just sit back and relax. Ordering online, especially with WU, puts you at the mercy of the seller. But going with reputable seller on this forum, helps put my mind at ease quite a bit.

You have nothing to worry about with Toro. You may want to word your message carefully when talking to TDs. English isn't their first language :p

I bought 3 replicas from Toro since 2013. All was sent to EU, always without any problems.

Rep for sure is Stainless Steel and gen is Titanium midcase an back but bezel is SS polished
Stainless Steel engraving on caseback is a clear mistake or rep flaw

NO WORRIES ABOUT TORO is one of the best dealers

Yeap, like what ALE says, toro is one of the best TD here. Im currently in the process of getting my second watch from him. The first one was gotten last week, took less than a week to reach my door step.

This time round i have a few doubt after receiving the QC photos, requested for more photos, was given as well. Now waiting for respond to my enquires.

Lets be patience and wait :)

Thanks you guys. I'm impressed at how the community converges in forum like this, with shared experiences. I'll definitely stick with TDs for future reps.

For me, my approach for getting a rep is because, Panerais are a different breed of watches. Very distinctive. Very HUGE. I'm used to small watches, with traditional designs. I actually avoided this massiveness for a while, until the 42mm / PAM 338 caught my attention. It sort of warmed me up to Pams, and reeled me in.

REPS like these helps me test out the size and designs, to see if it's a good fit. Once I'm hooked, I'll go out and search for a GEN, whenever it becomes available. Unfortunately, the 338s are not a popular model, I don't think. 42mm are disappearing, so I may have to wait and see if they show up on eBay and Chrono, etc.

I'll sit back and just let TORO do their thing.

Thanks for putting my mind at ease. :spray_ubp:

Just want to reaffirm confidence in Toro. I've bought 6 or 7 watches from them and always had nothing but superlative communication and service. Always blazing fast with QC pics after payment and can't believe how fast delivery is (to Canada) after confirmation. And he will respond to specific questions and requests.

Relative newbie on reps and I can tell you Toro is great TD.

Ordered my second watch which should be arrive this week. Last shipment was well packaged.

My first ever order was a sneak in before CNY but my payment was sent the day just before the CNY holiday closure. You can imagine my anxiety for a good month before the watch arrived. But once the holidays were over, the WU payment got processed and the delivery was efficient.

He may be a bit slow on the e-mails but I always got a reply.
