Ok, I recently found out what I thought as an excellent and precise rep. Is in fact a little bit flawed. I am talking about my recent purchase of a DSN PAM24d. As a 24d rep, is not 90% and has a flaw I consider big. I am talking about the case profile, specifically the "horns" or lug holders. The gen ones are much less rounder and angled outward (I actually went and compared it to a gen on a friends shop as a result of a comment made in a recent review I made). The crown also sits much lower than the gen. What got me thinking is that AS A WATCH, it is stunning!!! The build quality is excellent the bezel is tight, the dial is flawless and the lume...oh the lume...blinding!!!. So we have a watch that as a piece of engineering is quite good and high quality but as a rep is a flawed one! What weighs more? Quality or precision?
In my opinion the watch is AMAZING ... What do you guys think?

Yup that's what I told you in your previous thread...

Wrong lugs profile is a real problem as you can't fit too thick strap, and for me the so-low crown position is a tell off.

The first thing I realized when I got into reps is that they are mechanically sound watches. They are made of usually very similar if not the same materials. The movements are usually the exact same as well when it comes to Swiss or close to. Usually it's the little things that are different: Quality of assembly, water proofing, dial font, etc etc which adds up to large imperfections.

They're great watches as far as stunning looking pieces goes. I like the fact that I can purchase something that nearly looks identical to the real thing, which does the same thing, for a fraction of the price of the real.

Saving cash makes me happy.

You made go and look up a gen to compare! Good eye!
