EWF Daydate 228238 ‘Champagne dial’ comparison with Gen

Hi lovely members

EWF is known for its competitive price and variety series, even though the quality is not the best, we still love them for providing the market different options.

We used to avoid doing detailed comparisons of EW’s, no need to judge them under microscope. But I got this Gen DD by chance, it would be a wast if I don’t do comparisons XD

As the saying goes, you get what you pay for. We don’t expect the top tier quality from EWF, let's be more mellow with them.

The most obvious difference is for the dial color, it’s not even close. The dial markers, hands and printings are fine, most clients can live with them. And for the good sides, the case, bezel, bracelet and clasp are pretty close, I have noting to complain about. So if EWF can improve the color a bit, that would make the overall quality much much better.

I doubt that the peoblem is movement side - VR movements usually are reliable and good quality. Could be a dial side problem and no gen part would fit.
But i dont know, just guessing. My GMF tungsten is on the road

Bezel teeth are still too damn angular, as per usual with DD reps, but this one actually seems to look better on the wrist compared to GM/BP given that the actual slope of the bezel itself appears more accurate.

I saw marketing pictures on trustytimes webpage, alignement looks good over there. I am just waiting for a tungsten with VR movement.
till then i work with GMF a2836
