NWBIG️Upgraded & Tuned ️ Brand New CF Explorer I 124270 For sale is my recently purchased, brand-new CF Explorer I 124270. I removed the stickers to carry out a series of upgrades and improvements, aiming to make this watch as perfect as it can get. However, it’s now ready to find a new owner.
List of Upgrades:
- Rehaut Polishing - Polished the rehaut without using any substances to avoid fading the engraved letters. I used a variety of cloths to achieve a finish as close as possible to the genuine model.
- Gasket Lubrication - Applied silicone grease to both the caseback gasket and crown thread for improved sealing and durability.
- Waterproof Testing - Tightened the caseback (which was surprisingly loose and could be opened with fingers) and tested the waterproofing. The watch passed smoothly up to 6 ATM, though my device didn’t allow testing beyond that range.
- Crown Thread Cleaning & Greasing - Thoroughly cleaned and greased the crown thread to ensure smoother operation. Dirt buildup in this area can compromise the functionality, so this step was essential.
- Rotor Silencing - Cleaned the rotor and caseback, then applied precise drops of lubricant during reassembly. As a result, the rotor sound is nearly identical to the genuine model, still audible but smoother and quieter.
- Movement Regulation - Fine-tuned the movement to bring it within COSC accuracy range.
- Bracelet SPA - Ultrasonically cleaned all components, lubricated screws, and polished the bracelet using a conditioner to enhance its feel and appearance, bringing it closer to the genuine article.
