I have a gen and it does have one. It's very hard to see. You have to have the right angle and lighting to see it.
Spirit is spot on. Milgauss GV is the ONLY current rollie without the coronet... which makes it an ideal candidate among other factors for a rollie ultra uber superrep....
Rumours about it looking too prominent because of the green refractive properties of the glas verde and also that the process may weaken the cultured crystal.
+1 the gen etched coronet is made up of a series of tiny laser etched dots not like you see on a lot of reps. Also the points of the crown on the coronet are quite small little balls. Shape , size and manner of the etching are all tells when it comes to identifying the coronet. There is a rolex white paper about this. So far I havent seen any etchings that are repped correctly so if in doubt no coronet for now may be the way forward.
The gen coronet can be viewed under light with the naked eye without a loupe quite clearly PROVIDED it is at the right angle and lighting. Place a torch shining down from 12 position and look from 6 position with face/bezel close to eye level, works like a charm.
