i have been looking at the datasheets of these both movements.

slowbeater vs highbeater....with many interchangable parts. but the highbeater costs 3 times as much. not justified imo.

whats your opinion ?

Yes, many interchangeable parts.

I think it's gotta do with economy of scale and the availability of -1 movement. Anyway, the difference is about 40% if you asked ETA dealers.

i sourced a price.....about 135 $ for the slow - and 360 - 380 $ for the highbeat.

i wish i could find some long time experiences with those both movements in comparison
( in terms of maintanance rate, reliability, precision and longlivety )

gotta spend another night resourcing info.....yawn !!
