ETA movement engraving - snowflake build

Hi everyone,
I'm looking at building a Snowflake replica based on the 9401 case from the bay. I contacted the various vietnamese sellers and they quoted from 900 US to 1200 US for Phong's case.

I have found the ebay case for $600USD roughly,

My question is - how have replica builders managed to engrave the movement/rotor. I am sourcing an ETA 2770 and would love to know how people engraved both of these, anyone that has a microcnc machine that is willing to do it for a fee?

The Tudor marked rotors seem to be readily available but a Tudor engraved mainplate seems fairly rare still.

I built one myself and you still can get a cheap genuine eta 2776 (without the Kiff shock absober) like a genuine 9401!

Engraving the movement would be difficult but change the rotor for a gen or rep Tudor rotor is very easy.

Hmm I looked on ebay and the usual places - can't seem to find a movement.

Yeah its BiVintage - 400USD is what he wants - having trouble understanding if his dials fit the 2770/6 - he states they fit the 2836.

You won't find them as eta 2776, watch fabrikant "Dugena" used a lot of the 2776 movements for the watches they build long time ago.

Look for Dugena 3345 movements or watches like Dugena Monza or Pratina Automatic 25 jewels.

A Dugena 3345 movement = eta 2776

Got a mint movement for 180 euro

Dials are a perfect fit on 2770/6!

BiVintage will also move the dial feet... at least he has done so for me when listing a 2836 dial I needed different feet orientation for a gen movement.

He sells dials for both 27XX and 28XX movements, you just need to specify which one you need.

Thanks guys! I will keep looking for Dugena movements.
I guess a 2770 is also a decent one to settle with. I have found a silver plated one rather than the rose gold plated ones.

Just my opinion but unless I could find a engraved movement, and there are a few engraved rep movements out there, I would just go with a new 2824. When you get the movement add H3 pinions for the correct height and everything will line up and drop into the case. Add a Tudor rotor if you want but without the engravings its not going to look gen when the caseback is opened.

I ended up finding a 2770 in good nick and I'm fitting a tudor rotor.
I got sick of searching ebay for a 2776 - hard to find!

Are there any cheaper cases than the ebay guy?
