Hello,
I have been looking at the ETA Powermatic 80 series, specifically the cal. c07.611.
Technical information is limited on this movement, though it says it is based on the 2824-2.
The attractive features for me are the 3Hz beat rate and 80h power reserve.
Does anybody know if the C07 is a drop in replacement for the 2824? Specifically the winding stem height and hand pinion clearance?
Looking to fit this into a Bivintage 5513 case.
I know I will need a spacer ring but want to make sure I won’t have any other issues.
Additionally, do I need extra long movement tabs to fit 11.5”’ movement into the case or are the standard ones meant for that?
