It’ssssssss Wednesday my doooooooods! I’ve been doing some research on older ETA. I came across a 2879 in a West End Co. watch, and it has VERY similar dimensions to the older 2846, with the same bph!
My HZ movement in my 1675 is about to take a dump, so i want to pick up a 2846 since it’s a genuine ETA, plus it will have a lower bph. I’m curious if anyone has fiddled with the 2879 before? If no one has tried to fit a 2879 in a Milk case, then would anyone be interested if i try and experiment and mod it into a 1675 and post how it goes? Here are some specs between the two and i’ll provide links from Ranfft Watches as well. :)

For what I know the 2879 have different stem height than the 2846.
2879 is similar height than dg2813 the 2846 like the 2836z

I have put one of this 2879 in my cartel 1665 but I have problem with data disc that touch something and the watch stop random. My watch smith try several time to solve but now I’m bored so I came back to the 2813..
