My genuine Tissot with an ETA movement is far superior to my Rolex replica with a so called ETA movement.
There is no way that the fake Rolex a Swiss ETA movement is even close to the Tissot movement. I doubt very much if anyone would pay for a genuine watch such as Omega with a crap Chinese knockoff ETA movement. Can you imagine paying $3000.00 (and up) for an Omega that comes with a wobbly crown and a rotor that sounds like a cement mixer?
It appears to me that an RWI member likes to believe that they are getting the real thing in a fake.
Give me a break.

Sign, I'm confused? Assuming they both have a genuine SWISS ETA movement why would your rep Rolex not keep as accurate of time? You do realize there are rep watches with genuine SWISS ETA movements and not "crap Chinese knockoff ETA" movement correct? As such, these watches should and do keep as good of time as any other watch that also has a gen SWISS ETA movement.; and as a matter of fact, my reps keep at least as good of time as my gen watches. I get the impression you are under the incorrect assumption the reps we purchase here do not have gen SWISS ETA movement so therfore they must have inferior time keeping is that correct?

Servicing.

A replica has a surplus ETA movement, whereas a Tissot has a finished, quality-controlled, factory-calibrated, tested ETA.

If you take your Rolex rep with an ETA movement and get it serviced, it will be as good as a gen Tissot. If the Tissot says "Chronometer" on it, it may be unbeatable, however.

... and sometimes you get lucky.

Is the sweep butter-smooth or clicky?

ps. Did you check it every day, or could it have lost 10 sec one day and gained 8 the next? :D

Awww...the "servicing" makes sense in order to ensure an accurate/smooth running movement. Perhaps I've been lucky as mine seem to be pretty good without servicing, but I get them serviced after a year or two just for piece of mind at a local watchsmith. In my opinion, my reps keep overall very accurate time serviced or not.

How much does the servicing cost? It usually works out as more than a replacement 2836, right?
