I have a modded 5GPO since early last year with Gen hands, dial and crown. I'm thinking about putting in a ETA 2824-2 movement as the current A2824 is acting up:
Can't manually wind the watch with the crown
The hands are out of sync, reset by watchsmith a month ago and is out of sync again.
I have a few questions (may be silly) about the ETA movement. I''ll greatly appreciate any advise given.
Will a gen ETA fit into the current watch and all parts without further modification?
Can I replace the date disc of the ETA with the rep?
Where is the best place to get a gen ETA?
I saw one on Ebay which seems quite reliable:
