The nato is certainly gen - and worth about $300 more than the watch.

Friend of a friend, that sale is many many years ago. He thought it was a real rep, he was so sure he acquired the gen NATO for it.
Never was a match so bad ever made.

It doesn't matter, if I can take it out of circulation that's a good thing!

I paid £130 for the lot, so I figure I've done ok.

It is a functional GMT even if the dials are about 3 mins out of sync , if you wind it backwards the real hands move and the mini dial doesn't.

But I'll not be wearing it I don't think!

I'm not super sure, I quite like the little "Bond-esque" strap doesn't quite fit thing going on. But time will tell.

If I've learnt one thing it's don't jump to conclusions, maybe sat round a pool in mid July that'd be exactly the watch you want.
Whatever, it's only a few hundred quid and to me, that's the main draw of reps, I can try everything and spend almost nothing.

I know, I know, you live, you learn, maybe I shouldn't have bought it at all, but...£130, hardly a bank breaking amount of money. And it is gen Panerai, I'm sure it's worth something.

Whenever I make a little "mistake" and maybe buy something I maybe shouldn't have bought I try to remember this;

When I bought my first decent rep (a VSF 126610LV, a Starbucks Sub) M2M here, I was so scared of sending the money PP or bank transfer I met the seller in person and did the deal for cash. £430 IIRC.
An hour later, wandering around I saw a gen of the same model in a window, £16500.
That same watch is now £12k.

We're just playing, some poor fool bought a Tiffany 5711 for £6.5m, there's one on Chrono24 for £1.8m, that's a drop of £4.7 million, Jesus Christ people have killed themselves over less, they really have;
