eddie lee fiddy with katt mods

I had a new CP put in and he shaved the minute hand so it would be flush, modded the CG to be tight, relumed the dial, and finally put in a new A6497-2 because EL mov in here was the eta 6497, so here goes...i will be going franken so dont worry more to come, here are some pics with my new cam,not bad

i do NOT like the movement and will be making it right very very soon!

How is this different from any other Fiddy?

Besides the relume and CG fix... how does one recognize an "EL"?

the case is 1:1 like the gen 127 ( front loading) , cg as well ( i saw this first hand with an angus ultimate from the good old days, the EL has crisper engravings and built better) although the EL dial and hands are better than other cartels or dsn, i will still go the gen route on those
the eddie lee was the only rep that was made 1:1 because Eddie gave the rep manufacture his own gen to work off of, instead of like the usual pics like every other manufacturer

I really am ignorant when it comes to Pams but frequent the sales section and see these watches go for exorbitant prices and I'd like to know details of why an EL is better (real, specific details) or why DSN dials are great (WTH is he doing to the dials?!)... I think a lot of this from my limited knowledge is hype and overflated.. but again... I admittedly am ignorant so if someone can educate me then I'd be all the better.

ya its easy to take off the bezel(which you would have to change the crystal) but does the mov come out from the front NO, front loading implies that the mov goes in and out through the front not the back , which the gen does, , dial and hands are made almost 1:1 again because he actually gave his real gen 127 as the sample instead of pics,, also try to put on oem parts on the regular cartel fiddy and they will not fit BUT on the EL they will thats why franken fiddy from eddie lee are the best .
NO CARTEL DEALER HAS A WATCH LIKE THE EDDIE LEE FIDDY, ask any dealer like puretime , in my opinion hes very honest and he will tell you no other fiddy comes close, as a matter of fact ask any good modder and they will tell anyone the eddie lee is the best fiddy

So how can I tell you have an EL fiddy without buying the gen and comparing or buying gen parts and attempting to put them on it or having you take a video of you removing your movement from the front?

What I'm trying to say is.. how can I look at your pictures right now and say that's an EL fiddy?


The dealers also say that the gens are bought first so the factories can assemble the rep prototype then mass produce.. in a lot of the watches we wear it's pretty F'ing impossible to copy unless you had one sitting right next to you.

no fiddy on the market today is a front loading case, none, period, as far as how would you know, well the el has a notch so the front comes off, the case is actually bigger, not by much but it is, the engravings on the cg are deeper than cartel thats for sure, at the end of the day since all el fiddys are second hand you would ask for proof of course...

so you can ask for more detailed pics, even ask for a video showing the front coming off and the mov being unistalled from the front and then back again, its funny because if you try to take out the mov from the back it wont come out

i think the hands would go but i think the dial would have to be modded some way since the case is smaller than the el...heres a tid bit, when the seconds hand had to be fitted on the new mov, katt had to mod the second hand just a smidge

so if I see someone selling just an EL dial it's pointless to buy unless they have an EL case because the dial is going to be bigger.. noted. much appreciated.
