Hello all,

Someone is trying to scam me on eBay, I thought if a few member report him other than me on eBay, the case would resolve in my favor, he sold me fake Montblanc pens! And he is quite nasty, the messages he send me etc.

So I would be happy if you can report him, it should be easy to find typing the moncler jacket he sell on eBay at the moment or with his username I guess

I own and owned a lot of Montblanc Pens, you can feel immidiately they are face as soon as you take them in your hands, the weight, how they screw in and out when, and box 100% face at first look, the cushioning etc

Hey, I trust your judgment if you say you know gens in and out. But what you describe (the weight, the feeling when screwing in/out etc.), do you think that this would hypothetically be sufficient in court as evidence?

It's not a rhetorical question, but actually a serious question?

Also, how do you know that the certificates are fake? Have you verified them with the manufacturer and they came back as fake? Or is it again just a hunch you are having?

I'm not trying to take your case apart, I'm trying to walk in eBay's shoes and attempt to emulate their perspective and reaction (I think that is in fact their reaction, since they obviously are not taking any action against the guy).

You'll need more than "feelings" and hunches to prove to eBay that the pens are counterfeited. For example, comparison photos by putting them next to gens which clearly show the difference. I think eBay would want to see something like that.

Pen buying is much more niche than watches. You might need to take these in to an AD to get their feedback and present your evidence to ebay. Brining over the pen for verification as well as the certificate he submitted to a certified seller is probably the best way to debunk the sellers lies and get your money back. Sucks this happened to you, hope you can find a resolution for this.

I don't mean to change the topic but does anyone understand the logic behind buying banknotes at a 20% premium? The obvious answer is money laundering but laundering €130 doesn't seem worth it.

Well you've done a good job of changing the topic lol

People who want to buy cash off me at 20% mark up - just send them my way :)

And OP what @LesImmortables is probably your best course of action. I too own a few Mont B's and know what you mean re the feeling. But you'll need to prove it.

Best of luck
