Its a fake. Report it.

The datewheel is sunken and it has the incorrect rotor. (The rotor says Calibre 16 instead of Calibre 17, which was a problem with one of the rep versions).

The rotor is always the biggest tell on all Asian autos.

for the noobs, look at the strips running down the rotor, its called geneva striping

it will always have an odd number and centrally placed stripe on 99% of gen tags (Bar Calibre 5, which has the even number). no Asian autos have been made to date with correct striping on tag reps because they based the design off the calibre 5 rotor, not the rotors for each individual calibre. (AFAIK)

That's some good info on the number of the stripes but I'm seeing an even number of stripes on both the fake and real pics posted here. So obviously I'm missing something.
Can you shed some light on that for me? Thanks.

yep, no problem

the asian movement rotor for tag, was built off the Calibre 5 movement, which is the only TAG movement (AFAIK) that has an even number of stripes. but when the movements are built in asia, the only thing they change is the calibre 4, calibre 7, calibre 17, 16, 36, etc. but the striping remains the same. hence any model that is not a calibre 5, with an even number of stripes, is fake.

the last picture is of a gen calibre 5 :)

Now I understand. Thanks for putting that in terms I understand. I'm new here and while it seems the Rolex and Pams seem to be popular, I've always been partial to Tag Heuer.
But I find most of the newer models too large. A chronograph automatic or even a Colt GMT would be my kind of watch, as lons as it isn't larger than 42mm and isn't thicker that about 14mm. Know of anyone who would offer something within that approx. size??
