Hey, I'm a newish fan of these watches. I'm keen on the GMTs. I've been looking and talked to a few people here and there. Apparently these watches are easy to rep?

Is this true? The question being is there a Major difference between cheaper vs, more expensive ones? As I'm not a super fan of the watches is there going to be a huge glaringly obvious flaw (s) between models/factories??

Oh my, of course there are differences in prices and factories that’s just common sense:unsure:

Do you think the finishing, machining and assembly will be the same at every low to high price point:ROFLMAO:

If you go to McDonald’s don’t expect a quality meal:rolleyes:

They are 100% beef patties tho.

Certain metals and finishes cost more and will be shown in the work. $100 dhgate panerai vs $300+ form a TD is night and day. Especially at night. In the end you get what you pay for. My first rep was a dhgate panerai 111 and what a good watch, until I found a Noob one. So compared to a Gen the Noob is extremely close to a point of a naked eye no one can tell. But the DHgate one was not horrible per say but you can tell on my wrist its not close to gen in colors, lume, and just overall quality.

Replica oblivion…
The devil is in the detail.
Sandwich dial quality, thickness of markers, shape of the crown guard and the all important lock lever design and how well the rollerball works. Clone movement v inferior no name deco plated or just deco rotor movements.

And although they all look very similar, the overall case shape and dims can vary substantially. The cheaper reps won’t have a quality saphire crystal, let alone same shape / curvature etc. Even small but very visible things like the quality of the buckle engraving can make or break the “feel” of the watch. Panerai rep world is probably the biggest rabbit hole aside from Rolex reps…
