Dumb question!

Hi,
I just joined and I have a question. To send a PM to another member that only that member will read how is that done on this forum? Do I just start a conversation with the member I want to send the PM to and he/she will receive it privately as a PM?

Dumb question but I've got to ask as I didn't see any options that said specifically "send a PM."

Ok, so when I hover over the envelope it says "start a conversation." So essentially what I'm asking is, on this forum PMs and starting a conversation are one and the same?
