Gang,

I am a noobie so please go easy. I need some help identifying a watch that I picked up 9 months ago well before knowing about this forum. It was a $150.00 impulse purchase I made when surfing Craigslist late one evening. I figured nobody could get hurt at that price. I know its a DEEP SEA Sea Dweller but I have no idea of: the factory, the movement, the correctness of the dial font, the rehaut engraving, the escape valve. Side note: Obviously the bezel insert is missing and that is the result of knocking the pearl out of it when I accidentally slammed it into the door jam when leaving my bathroom in the dark. Of course the pearl disappeared into the abyss of the carpet. So now I am on the hunt for a new bezel insert but figured I needed to know a little something about the watch before I can place an order with anyone. Any advice on where to buy the correct insert would be much appreciated also. Thank you in advance to anyone who takes the time to answer my requests as my untrained eye is just too immature to know what I have at this point. Yes, I am trying to come up to speed quickly by reading everything possible on this site, but that takes time and I have only been reading every evening for the last 10 days or so. One last thing, the movement says 25 jewel in the engraving. I have never heard of a 25 jewel but that could be part of my immaturity as well. Thanks again and I am anxious to get some help.

Trevor has the inserts.

You have a ETA 2836 movement. That's good!

Pics are too small to tell much else.

Making pics bigger of DSSD

How do I make the pics bigger? I see other people are able to load much larger and much more detailed pics. On my computer these are 5.0 megapixel and very detailed but when I go to load them they get chopped down???

Looks like you got a great deal. It appears to be swiss eta movement. However it could be an asian copy. We would need close ups of the movement to determine that. Good luck and welcome to the addiction!
