DSSD broken stem

Does anybody know any way out of dealing with a stem broken off at the crown?

Was replacing a dead 2813 movement with a new one and wanted to replace the stem and when I was trying to unscrew the crown the stem broke!

Do I need a new crown

well I answered my own question, apparently if you submerge the crown with the broken off stem and put it a Alum Powder / hot water mix for several days the chemical will eat away the stem and the crown can be slavaged!
