DSN's new born 086D

I saw that DSN had started to release new versons of his watches, updated crystal and AR, crown, crown guard etc.....

So lots of upgrades, and his PAM086D was now in the correct brushed steel case (previous version was made incorrectly with a ti case)

I sent him an email, got some QC pics of a watch and paid via Moneybookers, always an easy quick reply from DSN

The watch arrived about 4-5 days later from Hong Kong, here it is on my OEM strap

Such a stunning piece, DSN has really raised his game, the crystal in particular is greatly improved, and the AR is on par with the latest H/N Pam's in my opinion. The date font is bold, crown guard is nice and fat, and his new crown is sprung with double gasket, looks very high quality

As for the dial, nobody else does the anthracite dial like DSN, really changes colour from black to grey and catches the light, superlumed of course, nice and bright.

I could not be happier, the day DSN finds a way to get a flush cannon pinion, is the day I will find myself with lots of new PAM's! :lol:

I haven't checked his Photobucket for a while. Is it easy to tell which are the 'new versions'? .....I do wish he would get as regular web site, even if he is easy to deal with. That Photobucket site is soooooo awkward!

Thanks, it's a sweet looking watch, and nope, as mentioned, the CP is the one thing left to fix, flatten that nipple! lol

So the question is, how is it compared to the gen?

As far as I can tell from pictures (I am planning to get a DSN so I've been researching, :lol: ), here is a list:

1. The font on the dial is on the thin side.
2. "L SWISS" is printed just a smidgen to the left (on the gen pics the L is not so near the line.
3. The "M" in MARINA is not wide enough. It should reach the "U" in LUMINOR. The placement of the other letters look right though.
4. The lume looks too green.
5. Date font is wrong, looks too fat.
6. Lug horns seem too short on the rep (I've read that's a common observation on DSN rep cases).

Experts, please feel free to chime in.
