Hi all, i've bought an off the shelf 111 (still yet to arrive!) but figure I pulled the trigger too early.

It's from a trusted dealer here and has also been superlumed and had the cg pin fix BUT it was early days and i've since read reviews and seen pics of DSN and Vacs 111's.

Vac's come with DSN dial and an impressive list of mods, but DSN's is a couple of hundred dollars cheaper. I was thinking of listing the one I ordered in the classifieds (and hope not to lose much) and getting a better standard rep to begin with (the 111 is my all time fav watch).

So for those of you with more experience which way should I go with my 111? It's easy to get carried away, I want the best but don't want to lose a heap on the one I already ordered......

the 111's are made in priceranges from 99$ to 1300$ for a little hero, in the middle are dsn's
depending on how much you want to spend, there are lots of options for this watch.
you canalso built your own, as lots of pam parts are possible to buy as a spare pats!
look around, you could ask dsn to sell you a dial (don't know if it's possible as a not previous costumer, but they also pop up in the membersales. then you can buy a toro crown guard, and a t48 crown and the list goes on.....

I don't have the skills or confidence to build up or mid my own, and can't afford to keep the one I ordered as a beater IF I order a DSN or VAC.

I realise LH are considered the best but at almost twice the price of a VAC I'm not sure it's worth it, or I could stretch to it. I almost picked up a LH on the classifieds but when it fell through I picked up a franken breitling instead! It's a crazy and addictive hobby....

DSN, VAC or stick to my lightly modded trusted dealer version....I'm stuck.

I've got a DSN 111H on the way. I've heard some amazing things about his pieces and they are moderately priced. $600 or so for a rep is pushing it for me personally. I really get watches for myself, not for anyone else, and I don't ever foresee myself in a position where someone is looking at it SO close that they can tell its a rep. In fact, I'm willing to bet that 99% of people wouldn't even notice a $150 rep from Lay. The only reason I went with DSN is because I'd rather buy one PAM that is 90% the look of a Gen, then buy one and then have it sent around the world to be modded.

From what I've seen on treads, people who buy DSN reps or good quality reps, end up hanging onto them forever, or until they decide to sell them.

dsn is highly priced are they worth it????????????

I hear nothing but good things about DSN. I've talked to people all around the world and DSN is up there. There are a couple other guys up there as well.

Sead is one of them and so is Little Hero from what I've heard.

I've held a Vac 111 in my hand and have a Sead 111. The Vac is outstanding. Nice medium between the DSN and LH.

What price bracket does sead sit in and how do they compare to Vac? im Inclined to go with vac as he seems to mid pretty much everything and his price is pretty much as high as I'd go for a rep.

Sead has (or had) two levels, a standard and an ultimate. I believe the ultimate was around $400, maybe.

Sead's old 111H has more accurate dial but both VAC and Sead's new ultimate dial has pig's tail 3 which is dead give a way. I will probably go with cartel 111H then send to VAC for mod the dial and hand relumed. If you are open for 112 then DSN 112 has more accurate dial. My 2 cents.

I have ultimate 112 from goin and yes he does very nice job. I asked him for platinum coating of the bridge as well as Fransisco decal it looks much better than standard bridge with engrave.

Does he remove the blue tint AR also?

Really looking to get a top 111 with out going too pricey. So either DSN or Goin off the shelf the best medium options? Can push $600 for a top job
