What do you think the best DSN PVD is right now? Especially between the Pre-A's.

CG pin needs to be flat and CG needs to be thicker, and T-SWISS-T needs to be further south from the 6 and smaller and centered, but otherwise pretty good. Also, the dial variances between these earlier Vendome and pre-V models are quite large among gens, so the fonts shouldn't be too big of a deal. However, the CG does need to be thicker.

Do you know of a different CG that can be purchased to fix that issue??

I suppose you can buy a Sead 111H CG if still avail and send to DSN to see if he can get the pencil lead PVD from his source. Can't imagine it would be cheap.

Damn ... I wonder how noticeable the CG variation is when on the wrist.

Great looking watch none the less.

What do you think drf, you know your watches.
Are you thrown off by the CG's or is it a nice enough watch to keep you interested.

it's definitely up there with the 005K and 312L on my "to buy" list. Probably will get all three. Haven't really gotten any reps in awhile. The new super rep competition is good for buyers too. Something like this just 2 years ago would have been north of $300-$400 range as you know.

Come a long way since the first 111H and noobmariner was introduced in 2005-2006. Granted, can't get Swiss for shit nowadays either, but who really cares?

Reps have come quite a ways
I remember being completely floored at the "quality" we though some of the old reps had lol. That and the "great deals" we got on them.

Now when I look back at some of them and compare them to what we have today (quality and price) - gives me a little grin... Can't wait to see what another year or two will bring !!

(now since I can't buy this and a 005k.. So I must think very hard about what will make me most happy!)

I like the PVD and look of the dial on this one... BUT by all accounts the 005k more or less needs no modifications
So potentially I could get a 005k, wear it for a bit then when I could afford it send it out for a DLC treatment.
(mind you I guess at that point ... I could probably just buy this one and the 005 lol)
