Hi guys,

I am new here and I 'd just ordered PAM176 from DSN, it comes with Unitas 6497 swiss. The watch is pretty neat as others had reviewed. But I have a question about to winding it. Every time I wind it whatever one click or several clicks, the crown will turning back more than a quarter of round. It seems that the gap or tolerance is too wide, it is not happen to my Fiddy w/asian movement. I 've never had this movement before, so is it normal?

One complain: the crown position is a bit way high than 50:50, huh...

is it possible for you to post a movement shot of each watch. We need to see these in order to be more specific when advice is given.

Understand that the "click" (not the sound but the part) working with the click spring prevents the Ratchet Wheel determines a lot when you look at spin back on the crown after winding. There must be a reason why the click is not catching on the movement preventing the Ratchet Wheel from spinning backward.

now let me talk completely out of my ass here,, I do not profess to be a pro.. which is why I dont sit down and count teeth on gears (but trust me,, there are many here that do).. but at a quick glance, there appears to be more teeth on your asian movement than your swiss, this would affect any spin back that you would get.

The good news is that so long as you are getting good power reserve from your swiss,, and everything else seems fine... you probably have nothing to worry about.

Please confirm that you understand me what the "click" is and the ratchet wheel is just so I know you are following me in my opinion.

I could be way off base,, and many times there are more than just one opinion or explanation for an issue, lets see if anyone else has any other opinions..

Yes, I guess that I understand what you said.

You mean the large wheel on the lower left and a small moving piece on the side. The more number of spoke on the large wheel gives more fine "click".

Am I right?

Yes, the "wind-back" is completely normal on ETA 6497-1 based watches.

I'm not sure as to the "why", but all my Swiss powered watches do it.
