This watch is one of my favourites Automatic Luminor. It has all the functions which are useful to me, namely date, running second hand, hour, minute as well as settable 24 hour second time zone.
The story dates back about 2 years ago when the repmakers released this replica in Titanium. However, let's focus on this DSN version. DSN started providing manual wind historic Luminor series in Titanium (i.e.: 036 and 082) a long time ago and his venture to Automatic 7750 powered watch started much later. I don't have access to my old 089 so side by side comparisons are not provided.
So... let's get in terms of built quality. Out of box, it's really impressive. I have been a secret admirer of DSN Ti case. It has the feeling and appearance that it's made of really good materials and is very well machined. Edges are well defined, some are even beveled (not easy for Ti). All in all, no sharp edges on the watch at all including the crown.
It appears that DSN has improved the quality of lug screw as well as the thread on the case. It seems that the lug stripping problem won't occur on his Ti case.
Crystal is single sided AR coated and it's actually pretty good at reducing glare on the watch face (i.e: damn close to the real deal). Cyclop is really good too. Definitely very even and gives good magnification.
Excellent lume out of box but definitely application on the dial can be improved much further (see lume shot). Zig or Vac still have an edge here. It appears that even DSN uses handwork to apply the lume but very similar to my Comex dial, he follows the line very stricly. That's why under daylight, the dial will appear to have very even line/numbers... But when it's glowing, dead giveaway.
The printing on the dial is excellent and the colour looks to be really good too. Gotta love that grey tone.
CG and crown are good but definitely can be improved. The level is still loose and needs tightening like other PAM reps but it doesn't wobble in place (which is good). Definitely better than the one that I have on my PAM252.
Pictures:
Strap is Gunny's A009.
This will definitely get considerable wrist time. Big plus of Ti... very comfortable on the wrist. For the price of 300ish, this rep is worth the money spent. Considering the lume (this is a signature on every modern PAM watch... Superlume is a must).
