Is this a common problem or am I not getting this right? My month old 089 is very tempermental on the date. Sometimes it won't click off the next day, but setting the date is smooth and issue free...

Re: DSN 089 - Date changing intermitently...

I had a watch that would do that if it did not have enough power reserve left. If it was winding down on the PR, it would get stuck. A little slap would get it to fall in to place. And then making sure the watch had a good PR at midnight the next night would work also.

It is a gear issue. I'll bet as you rotate the dates you find times where you feel like it's clicking twice.

Well I wind it every other day, even though it's an auto...maybe it's the time in between that's the issue? A very slow rotation through the dial seemed to only have 1 click per day. Try faster?

Definitely one click per day, but some clicks feel ''snappier''. Sorry for the multipost...I only get 200 characters/post. :(

Try this trick from the amazing Reppy. Isolate the date where it happens. Set it manually to two days before. Then roll through the days in the third position. see if it corrects itself.

I will give that a try. I have been wearing my recently modded SDDS since getting it back last week but I have the PAM on now. Will wait for the next occurrence.

Thanks Fakey and CBR!
