What the F!

I recently got a DSN 024D and promptly at 3:15 the movement ceased to work. The rotor audibly spins but the seconds as well as the time is dead. I've tried to restart it by weaing it but it's pretty intent on being dead.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

katt doesnt do 7750's. Try vac or ziggy. ziggy might be hard as he only accepts older clients and *some* referrals last I heard.

Were you setting the date between 10-2?

Thanks coldi,
Nope I didnt set the date between those times and I've only wound it once when I first got it. I contacted Vac and am waiting on a response. Hmmm, how do I get on ziggys good side?

I would love to put a working Swiss in it but 1.I'm not sure if it'll take any old Swiss and 2.I need a source to buy a new Swiss movement.

Mmmm interesting... My 2 month old DSN 24d also died suddenly. I sent it to my watchsmith for a full service and he told me the movement was poorly assembled and there was a problem with the ratchet wheel (and he's seen all my reps). Is DSN getting sloppy?? It works ok now...

Alternatively, if you can spare the pretty penny, get a gen ETA 7750 and have the movement transplant done..

the asian 7750 died and I returned it to DSN for a credit...put in an ETA 7750 and never looked back since..

if it's still within a month, try emailing DSN on this issue..hopefully he'll provide some other solutions..

All da best! :)

maybe you can try PM-ing takashi of 2geek..he sourced for me a swiss 7750 and did the transplant for me..

Hope this helps! :)

You guys are awesome! I DSN just contacted me and told me to send the watch back and that he would fix it. I put the 025D I was going to buy on hold until the work gets done. I'll keep y'all updated.

I'm going to ask takashi if he can't source me a Swiss 7750 today. Thanks again!

I'm 99% certain that DSN doesn't assemble the movements he uses in his watches. He buys them from a movement manufacturer or wholesaler, just like all the other rep dealers.

My thoughts exactly Hooligan. When he said he'd service the watch, I took that as just replacing the dead movement and putting another one in its place.
