I've just got my Pam111N V2 a few weeks ago and this morning it slid off my hand and dropped on my floorboard. Externally there it looks fine, nothing broke. But this beauty does't work any more :cry::cry:

I think some pieces of the movement must gone out of place.

What should I do ?
Please give me advices !!!

unless you know how to repair a eta-movement yourself i would suggest you contact a trusted watch-smith/horologist in your region..

you can find a list of people here in the forums..

EDIT; here is the link.. http://forum.replica-watch.info/vb/forumdisplay.php/watchmakers-and-horologists-204

Anonymus,

Thanks for your advice.

I'm actually from Melbourne - Australia. Can anyone recommend a horologist in Melourne area or Australia wide ?

It may be worth contacting a watchmaker/horologist from the phone book and asking if he can service and repair a 6497 movement. If he says yes, you can say that it is for a watch that a friend bought back off holiday for you so you aren't sure it is real, but it has sentimental value ;)

Personally I would prefer to visit one in person to 'get a feeling' for him (or her lol).

yes this is good advice, im not sure how strict the laws are in australia but with some detective-work im sure you could find a watchmaker willing to help you out.. just dont visit the AD's ;) aim for small family-business type of watchmakers/jewelers..

good luck!

He has a dozen accounts and posts garbage. Funny thing is, some IPs are CONUS and some are China. Bugger it, I'll ban him again.

They do indeed my astute friend, they do.
You may note he's still in this thread but has not come up with an explanation for his weird ways or the gif that I fear may not actually be a gif.

I checked out the website last night and Norton showed it as a questionable site........needless to say........I didn't open it.

Perhaps they're all legit users infected with some sort of browser virus that inserts the gif code whenever they write emails or post on a forum?

Don't panic, it can be an easy fix. In my Pam one of the screws that holds the movement broke and jammed the rotor. A watchmaker opened it, saw the broken screw immediately and replaced it. Cost me 8 euro's, lol!

Good luck, it happens to all of us some time.

Thanks for giving me some hope.

You were lucky to find a watch maker close by. I need to hunt for one around my area.

Post a high quality macro picture of the movement (with the caseback off, if possible) and we might be able to diagnose any problems :)
