Dropped my 113.....

I dropped my Davidsen 113 on my desk (fall of about 2 feet) and it killed it.

He states it is a Swiss 7497 movement, anyone know if it could be a simple fix or what movements fit his case (that I can buy state-side)? I want to used the same dial and hands without any mods as I'm not much of a tinker-er with watches (I can open the case and get around inside, but not very well).

Thanks,
WD

when you say 'killed' what do you mean?
has it simply stop running...a drop sometimes will disengage the crown from the movement, so no manual wind...make sure its a simple fix first...FYI...this has happened to me before on my 036. The watchsmith was able to fix it pretty easily.

don't be sad just yet...that is what happened to mine...it will wind wind wind...but then nothing...
Try to find a small, local watch shop ...doesn't have to be a fancy watch guy just anyone that is
proficient working with 6497 which is such a common movement...

my guy works for $40/hr...it took him 30 minutes...it cost me $20.
if ur in the NYC area i can recommend him to you...otherwise...give vaccum a holler..
