I purchased a Gen Movado watch from MagyarMojo333. See Thread post below:
In the post, he claimed that the watch was worn "twice". The payment was sent and the process went smoothly. (Tracking and everything).
Once received, I set the time and let it sit on my desk for the rest of the day. when I came back home it was about 3 hours off. Thinking it was a fluke with the battery, I got it changed from my reputable repair shop (Licenced and been in business for 40+ years). Set the time as reflected on Time.IS. (website) and wore it the rest of the day.
When I looked at my watch again it was about 15 minutes off after about 1-2 hours of wear.
I brought my watch that I purchased from MagyarMojo333 to an AUTHORIZED MOVADO after-sales repair center in Los Angeles. After waiting 3 week, they diagnosed an issue with the Movement and dial feet. They claimed that the dial feet are broken and the movement needs major repair. The quote was around $800 to repair.
I have reached out to MagyarMojo333 via dm's on April 12, 2023 to try and get additional information on why a watch that has been worn TWICE has broken dial feet and needs major movement repair and to see what can be done to get the watch in working order. there are no major cosmetic defects on the case as far as I can tell. I have since not heard anything from him.
I would like to know if there is any recourse?
