with my gmt on the way, i'd like to know whether is there anything to take note of. especially if i intend to not put it in a winder.

Do not deepfry, saute or bake the GMT. It is also not advised to feed after midnight, or else you may have a few of these running around.

Hope you find your answer, I treat mine just like anything else in the box and no problems for me in many years.
