I ain't sure about this... I have seen it somewhere last time that it has sausage dial... Need to reconfirm (some pictures are taken in such a way you can't really see the sandwich effect).

Hahaha actually no ;) quite friendly though it might have been because I bought a couple straps off one of them and the fact I stuck to email and not publically :p

Definitely a sausage :twisted: if possible, we can negotiate with Davidsen to put superlume on his dial. Currently his dial is using normal C3 lume. Do you guys mind paying more???

The PAM195 was a special edition for 2003 and did not have the sandwich dial.

However, for all of Davidsen's watches, I think it would be a good idea to find pictures of the fronts and backs of authentic watches to give him. Don't get the pictures from the official web site as there are plenty of cases there where images of prototypes or preproduction watches are being used. I'd also be a little cautious of the drawings, as who knows if they're exactly accurate to the final production verisons.

Photographs that people show of their watches are best. Even eBay has a number of sellers of authentic watches that show good pictures of the watches from all angles.

@enzo

do u have a link to the chart you are talking about ?

do we know if the lum applied on the dial should be
1. below the dial
2. level with the dial ?
3. above the dial or raised

Can't wait to get a 195 now. Please support what you know for Davidsen to make a fine ones. No mind to pay more if he will even engrave name on the back.

That just it, the man is brilliant on feedback and input. But to expect him to do custom work for each watch isn't really practical. Time-wise or money-wise.

Yes, best to manage expectations: we can expect so much at this price point. I think it's reasonable value, there's always finishing / straps etc that can be effected after receiving the piece. If David can get a reasonable approximation of a PVD'd 195 then that will do me fine - at the expected price.

my last post on this topic, looks like this is not going anywhere .... taking it off-line... :shock:

just to clarify, My intention is not to have David making me a custom dial, I was simply asked the question in his reply email if 195 in fact has L SWISS L and sausage dial, that's why we see this thread here .... if I had known all the answers, I would have emailed him in private.

if he can achieve the result from our input, that great, if not ... no big deal, its only a watch :D

The 195 dial was the exact same dial as the first 80 -85 005's........with a slightly longer arrow on the logo when compared to the later 005's. The normal rep 005 has the longer arrow but is too upright ....... it should be more slanted or angled to the right.
