I want to get a 44mm luminor pam, but wonder if the 1950 case wears bigger than the regular case for the same diameter? If someone can post a side-by-side pic (ideally 104 vs 359) that would be awesome!
Just my opinion,I think the regular case would be slightly bigger than 1950 case, but as I said it's just my 2cent.
There will be ppl with good knowledge come and explain this to you in classy way than me
The 1950 models wear slightly differently than the standard Luminor, but I wouldn't say they wear bigger. The 1950 models are a bit thicker than the standard Luminor so this slightly affects how they sit on the wrist, but the size is the same.
The Bettarini Luminor case always wears smaller than that 1950s cases. 1950s cases sit higher and therefore may feel top heavy compared to standard luminor cases. I always felt the 1950s cases were a little cumbersome and heavy unless you wore a titanium variant eg 351 or 305.
The PAM guide's case comparison seems to be comparing a 47mm 1950 case to a 44mm case. The lug distance and the diameter both appear larger on the 1950 case.
The pictures still demonstrate the thickness difference. Here are 44m 1950 PAM332 (keep in mind domed crystal adds even more thickness on this one) vs. regular Luminors on my wrist
