Does Bk sell his date wheel overlays to other trusted dealers?

I just got my gmt II ceramic from MR I love it but you can totally tell the difference between the date wheels of it from the DSSD. Just wondering if there were any modders that have em that can install and realign mine. That would make this a perfect watch.

BK sells his overlays if you PM him, installing the overlay is fairly straightforward for someone who knows what they are doing. You can PM watch repair guys but to give you a ball park idea, part costs around 30 and installing would be another 30-40 I would guess, it involves obviously taking the watch apart, removing the movement, removing hands, removing the dial and then the overlay and gluing the proper one on and reassembly.

I believe RSH himself can do mods like that....

RSH can do it. And so can I. A local watch smith could do it too if you ask them nicely.

The BK date wheel mod is the same as WM9. It's very nice.

Can anyone here install one of these on a PT McQueen Explorer?

I take it that he sells the overlay rather than a full datewheel?

Another question about these overlays......

Will they fit on an ETA 2836 Day Date II 41mm and an Aaian 2836 DJ II 41mm.

I'm finding out so far that the DW is the one truly bad part of these reps today.

Just the overlay Bonesey. It is a small flat metal disc printed on one side. Easily glued on top of the exisiting datewheel.

BK's date wheel will fit the ETA 2824 & 2836, never tried it on the Asian 21 jewel.

It fits on the 21j also, and alignment is fine. I am not so sure on the day date since the overlay may in fact some real close or rub the day overlay. My assumption is it should be fine, but someone who has done it can probably chime in.

Yeah I'd like to know about the Day Date.

My DJ isn't the 21j Asian, it's the Asian 2836 clone at 28,800 bph.

Does anyone make an accurate DW Overlay for the vintage Explorers? I've got the McQueen, anyway I have a McQueen being returned after I sent it back for a real bad date alignment issue. Interested in seeing how it looks this time and whether or not it will still need work.

Speaking of the vintage Explorer, anyone replaced the crystal on one of these. The one on the watch looks like a top hat, almost comical. But it's the only straight hand model I could find.

i have a related question as well. if you want to put a gen rolex dial on a rep and use an eta movement, would using the bk overlay be good for that (of course w/ an adhesive or dial dots as well)? i've heard that the alignment of the rolex dial does not fit with the standard location of the eta 2824/36 movements.

Rolex Dial on Left, BK TW on right.

Rolex sub dial is 27.5 mm diameter while the TW dial is 28.5 mm diameter.

In the second image I have the Gen Dial face down on the TW dial. Center hole aligns and date window align perfectly. So provided your chapter ring (rehaut) fits the smaller gen dial it should work. You will have to cut off the feet from the gen dial to do it though and use dots or adhesive. Ofrie or Jules Borel have dial feet you can glue on which is an option too.

Sorry about the pic quality, was shot in a hurry with my iPhone in so so lighting.
