There are several different movments used in Panerai watches. The swan neck is but one of them.

I really think it is a bad Idea to put direct links to PANERAI on forum. It is very easy for them to see where it was linked form and I think we all agree we do not need them sniffing around here.

Thank guys for the info.. all i know certain series has no swan neck and with all panerai limited edition type productions its hard to keep up with which watch came with which movement...

Panerai site do not show all historic and past watches with earlier series.. only special edition that has all the detail... watchquote site has more detail on which series and stuff...

THANKS a bunch...

Dan

Thanks Babola.....

Were the Pre-A series also made in 1997? I though those were before the sale to richmond group (Pre-V), guess I was wrong.......

Only during 1997...when Vendome (now under Richemont) bought Panerai in 1997 the first series watches had no letters in their Ser number designations. They started using letter A in their second series from 1998. :)

'Pre-V' refers to Panerai watches during '93-'97, pre Vendome era.
