Does 116610 Submariner bracelet fit on a 116710 GMT?

I'm eyeballing a 116710LN GMT (Clean comes recommended by most TD's), but I like the submariner bracelet more (fully brushed instead of polished center links, glidelock instead of oysterlock). I contacted several TD's and asked on Reddit where the consensus seems to be that it should fit as long as it's both 116X (and not 126X mixed with 116X) but the TD where I intended to order tried it and according to him it does not fit. The problem is that I'm not sure if he tried a 116610 bracelet. I asked of course, but communication is a little bumpy and I wouldn't be surprised if details are lost in translation.

I'm hoping that somebody here can confirm whether a 116610 sub bracelet fits on a 116710 GMT or not.

If they were gen, they fit perfectly and are interchangeable. Fakes, not so sure, the holes may or may not in the correct places. Trial and error when swapping bracelets between factories. It may fit but have unsatisfactory height or gaps.

I have arf sub bracelets on noob, clean and arf GMT cases. Love the look of them on brushed oysters.

Many rep bracelets will fit acceptably well on reps (or gens) they weren't made for. However there is no exact standardization for rep bracelet specs even among different batches from the same factory since the bracelets are actually made by many different vendors who supply them to the factories.

The only way to know for certain if any rep bracelet will fit well on any watch head is to to do a test fit. Knowing what successes others have achieved can help narrow down your choice but is no guarantee. ARF bracelets have often been heralded as the best, though some batches have been bad. Bracelets are pretty easy to resell here if they don't work for you.

I had some bracelets and cases separated tonight and can tell you for sure a ZZF 116610 Sub oyster bracelet will not fit on a CF 126710 Pepsi with Jubilee. The lug detents are not even visible with the SEL inserted. Too bad as the width, height and recess are all great.

The question is a very hard one too answer. In short the answer is most of the time. The long is some do not. I did a review on the ARF 116710LN and the VRF 116710LN when they first came on the scene. The VRF bracelet was a slight larger if I remember correctly so it would fit but with a bit of modding. The ARF fit perfect on the VRF and looked a lot better with the SEL and the little room that a real Rolex has. Now others I have not tried.

I would have to think that the new bracelet designs of the new subs and GMT’s the 12XXXX line, the bracelet has a different SEL and might not flip to the 11XXXX line. Never the less in theory the 116610 and the 116710 are both the same lug with. So if the case and band are with in the specs of real Rolex, the answer would be yes.

I have a cf franken 116710ln and put an older ARF sub bracelet on and it fit like a charm. I used the spring bars from the ARF with the ARF.

Day to day it works better cause it avoids scratches but I still like the correct bracelet as it helps differentiate it from the submariner
