Something about this one just does not look right?

None of the pics show the canon pinon, but with a davidsen that might not be an issue. I'm not a Fiddy expert but...

Of course anyone greedy enough to think they could get an $8000+ watch for under $5000 and who would take a chance on a brand new eBay seller to do so might be getting what they deserve!

The two things about the watch that bother me are the strap. It looks just like the standard rep strap that comes on the Fiddy. The second thing is the protective sticker with the red stripe on the back crystal. Even if this was something they use on the gens, why is there in one picture and missing in the next? Also, the picture of the face of the watch that has the glare is a stock photo from http://www.ruegger.ch, which is a website with dive watch information. I actually posted the link for that site on the forum about a month ago. :roll:

Looking on paneristi in sales area, I saw a 127 in NY posted for $9,995 and one in the UK listed for £6000.
The NYC post received attention the same day; next day for the UK watch.

One in LA was posted at $8,750 obo and was marked as sold later that same day. A fire sale price, compared to the other two.
Hardly a scientific sampling, but I cannot see people showing interest in this model at this price if it's commonly available elsewhere for far less - and these are the crowd who live and breath PAM gens.

fleabayer was being a real ape to think he would be able to get away with passing off a rep as gen, when the model is fairly sought after and collected. Another reason to try and make your rep as close as possible, because depending upon your circles, you may get called out on the carpet

Just my 90 seconds of research (and two cents).
What do I know, I'm still looking for the best sub... :lol:
