Documenting first replica experience with Hont (Aqua Terra).

Hey all, figured I'd document my process after doing lots of research in this space for the last few months.

Today (14Dec24): I reached out to Hont on WhatsApp to confirm time to QC. A few hours later they replied "24hrs", included the price and offered free shipping and a free rubber strap along with the stainless steel one.

I opted to pay by Wise, which in and of itself was a bit of a journey if you haven't already used it before - give yourself at least 30mins to get it set up with photos of identification and selfies etc. for authentication.

I had got through that process ahead of time so fairly quickly transferred the funds and sent a screenshot. They then asked for my shipping details which I promptly sent through.

I'm now awaiting my QC pics/vids, so I'm eager to see if they actually hit the "24hr" mark.

I'll keep updating as it progresses.

They sent QC in ~36hrs, which is absolutely close enough to the 24 I was told that I'm not going to split hairs.

This is the QC pics/vid I got.

QC was good for everything except the Omega symbol is a tiny bit tilted. Because of this I asked for a close up video which they acknowledged immediately then followed through with a video ~24hrs later.

After looking through a lot of other QC pics from other people for this particular model it seems the slightly tilted Omega logo is a pretty common thing and it's not bad enough that I think it will bother me so I GL'd it.

I'll update again once I receive it.
