Do you buy the extra steel tubes for the straps?

I have read on various forums by some users that swear by the extra steel tubes on the straps to people that never use them.

I would imagine it would depend on the thickness of the strap?

Any opinions?

All the straps I have ever bought come with the steel inner tubes, including any rep straps. So I've always used them. I don't see why you wouldn't to be honest.

Your straps move nicer on a tube.

Also there is no torsional stress on the bar, only shear stress and therefore make your bars "stronger".
