I bought some gen Pam parts and these were included... I’m not sure if these are just shipping cases or is the plexi inside actually the crystal? Some say 1950 47 and some have a metal ring inside the plexi. I always though Panerai used sapphire crystal? These don’t appear old... they are New but are they missing the crystal? LOL They seem to clear and too thick to just be protective covers?

After searching I guess the 372 comes in both sapphire and plexi. The metal ring is the “rehaut” the 1950 must be plexi also as it’s written right in the bag.

So these would be for a 372 and the other 1950 47 is for a 448? Those are the only two plexi versions? I was sold these as “plastic protective cases” but the plexi inside looked like more than just a piece of protective plastic LOL so I just bought them all on a hunch that they were more than a plastic case. I guessed right!

thank you for the info.

Those came with the Gen 372 as an extra plexi-glass replacement. It’s tucked away in a special slot in the box...

Yeah I saw that pic and then knew the 372 came with that and I guess the ones without the metal ring fit the 448.

Lum 1950 47 means Luminor 1950 47? The Fiddy is sapphire though...? The original vintage one is plexi however.

Can anyone somehow look up the part number on this to tell me if it fits a 448. I sold it and the guy took it to an AD to install. They of course said that’s not for a 448 but we have the right one!!! So he wants to return it. Problem is 2 Pam’s have a plexi option 448 and 372 the 372 has a metal ring around the base. So logically the 448 would be the correct watch and I sold one other to a 448 owner and he said it was fine. Plus the guy wants the refund then ship the item back. Never going to happen. Maybe I’m wrong but an AD does not want to install your parts they want to sell you the parts. If anyone would be so kind to find picture evidence that part number is for a 448 that would be great. The logic behind the scam is not well thought out. 2 watches have a plexi option it’s not for a 372 so doesn’t that mean it’s for a 448? Is my logic wrong here? Haha I know some of you guys really know Pam’s!!

It looks like it's the same part number, unless that ebay seller is you.
