I know I've read about this somewhere, but can't find it. Do PAM's have AR? I know some people have said they have a yellowish coating and some people have said blue and some have said none. I have no clue. I'm about to send a Breitling off to the AR guy and was wondering if I should send the PAM also. Lemme know. thanks!

It's a Fiddy.

Up to the C-series (2000) Panerai watches didn't come with A/R on their sapphire. After 2000 - yes on the underside of xtal, however it's a mixed bag, at least if what gen owners say is anything to go by.

There's been reported a sort of yellowish tint by some, others mentioned slightly blue bordering on green hue. Whatever hue gen Panerai A/R emit, one thing is for sure - the actual color of A/R is much lighter than one found on A/R'ed rep xtals, although much better in preventing light reflection. Some reps come with so called A/R, but reflect the light same as a non-A/R coated xtal.

Gen Fiddy comes with hardly noticeable A/R hue, gen one comes with either blue or pink, both of which are very noticeable. It used to bug me a lot in the past, now I simply learnt to live with it.

cheers,
