You can use a duct tape ball to remove the caseback as well to tighten after reattachment. However to tighten it properly, you'll need either a PAM caseback tool (40, 42, 44, 46 or 47mm depending on your PAM) or a generic tool which locks all manner of sizes and types of casebacks (from a watch toolkit).

You can get the PAM caseback tool from ebay or the TDs.

To close it you need a tool that fits. You could use pliers as a substitute, but you are very likely to scratch your watch.

I was tired of the duct balls and bought a sticky ball for around 1 USD on Ebay.

This worked fine for me! Just need one big enough, tight fit, gentle slow pressure, no problem. :)

Sticky ball does the job, Pam caseback is more easier to open than Rolex caseback.

I have a 44 tool and it works just fine..., except for Jakob casebacks because they are thicker and therefore a bit larger on the edges....
