Do Gold rep rolex's tarnish fast?

Hi and welcome. As long as You don´t ding it too much against walls and doorknobs, the gold plating nowadays is quite good, I would not worry at all. In some years time a jeweller could replate just the bezelring and crown or there are gold electro-plating kits available, but I would not worry about that at all.
The bracelet, I would just replace it with a quality croco strap once the time comes or order another replacement bracelet. It will only get wear if You use it a lot at the computer/work and it scratches on the table a lot.

These days gold plating is very very good and will hardly tarnish at all, I had a full gold daydate for about 2 1/2 years n still looked as good as it did when I brought it

Yep, Daywatch and JK are exactly right. I've got a full gold 36mm DD that gets a lot of use and looks every bit as good as the day I opened it up a year ago. And it's on a gold plated presidential bracelet.

Two things I've done to minimize scratches:

1. I have a little protective pad on my desk at the office and at home I have a cloth I keep in front of my keyboard. So the only thing it touches is my incredibly tanned skin and cloth lol.

2. Once or twice a week I clean it with a wet cloth and just regular soap - Lever 2000 leaves behind a nice fresh scent lol. Just don't get the watch really wet - I'm talking a damp cloth with just a little soap mixed in.

You do that, and try not to bang it around, and it should last a long, long time.

check out any of our dealers. they all get the watches from the same places. I think you are right about at the cut off point for the datejusts there. You might have to spend just a little more than that, but then shipping will make it higher too. but with the gold plated ones you definitely don't want to go cheap because quality really suffers especially with the gold. And you can ask the dealer how many layers of plating the watch has.

would you say this is the same quality as the previous watch? I'm guessing not due too the price but they seen the same

Nope, gold is different, also probs the movement is different. Also on the first pic the datemag + DWO is screwed up, haven't taken a closer look at it but saying at that they ain't the same!

Be careful, the picture is from a gen! I believe that at least 25-35 % of the shown pictures are from the Rolex site. Especially if the time is 10 to 2 or 10 after 10 and in case only 1 picture is shown in stead of 5 or 6.

I have 2 gold Rolex, after I received them I applied a bit of carnauba car wax, it seems to protect the finish from tarnish.

I re-apply once in awhile and the watches look like new.

That's something new! I'll try it out once I get mine.
